Contacting NPA
NPA is known for its ability to find the right therapist as quickly
as possible. In today's harried lifestyle and with complex insurance
limitations, this means more than simply coming up with a therapist
whose skill and style is a good match for the person(s) seeking an appointment.
If you are making a referral or seeking to schedule an appointment,
it only takes one phone call to find the right therapist. Calling
our Central Intake number, 781-449-7522, will result in your
being called back by an experienced therapist who is covering intake
that week. That therapist will contact you as quickly as possible, usually
within three hours, and ask just enough questions to determine what
your needs are and if NPA is able to provide someone to meet those needs.
The intake
person takes the responsibility to contact a prospective therapist and
has that person call you within 24 hours to set up an appointment. This
means you don't have to keep calling therapists to see who has the time
or the expertise you are seeking. Furthermore, if for any reason the
intake therapist believes we do not have the best option to meet your
needs, we will recommend alternative therapists, clinics, or hospitals
that can provide what you need. We are committed to doing our best to
make sure that everyone who contacts us ends up getting the help they
need.
We will often encourage you to contact your insurance company to be
certain what your benefits are. Also, many companies require pre-certification
for mental health services, so you would need to call and obtain the
authorization number. The intake person or the therapist can explain
how to do that.
